Yes, we added another site icon. This icon serves as an identifier which indicates a hyperlink to our Knowledge Base and typically adds pertinent, supplemental information that will explain a topic with a bit more depth.

In furtherance of the W3C Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) to assist usability of our site for people with disabilities, we have added a font size adjustment script to our site tools. Select the font on the font size adjuster button at the right margin and the page font will automatically resize.

A slight diversion if you don't mind. We've initiated a new section for webmasters and domain administrators (and curious onlookers) for the presentation of Utilities & Guides, a collection of tools and tips that we ocassionally use to facilitate our eServices. Some of what we will present is directly applied to our ongoing operations while some is rather peripheral. Nevertheless, we think the applications and guides will be useful to many web content providers. Furthermore, we enjoy contributing to the very technology pool that perpetuates our existence.

Our eServices server was upgraded on Thursday morning, July 6th, 2006. All subscription services have resumed to normal, so data processing will proceed as before. We apologize for any brief inconvenience though we did not observe any issues. No other interruptions are expected. Please contact us if you experienced any processing delays.

Our Knowledge Base has been upgraded again to provide better support and customized issue tracking. It concludes our centralized support services transition so that you may better follow any support issues that may arise or questions that you may have. Both of these links will forward you to the secure server of our member services domain.

Thank you for helping the Salvation Army, The American Red Cross, and the Humane Society during the Katrina Flood Relief efforts. Your generous donations were certainly well received.

Our site has been upgraded from XHTML 1.0 to XHTML 1.1 compliant. You probably won't notice the difference but your browser might. These changes are subtle, but different browsers may handle these modifications differently. Nevertheless, we continue to keep up with the latest web standards to ensure that we provide for you the most compliant and standards-based code that is possible. This will provide for you the most stable web experience that is available for universal use. The W3C provides the guides and we just adhere... it's that simple. If you have a suggestion to improve access or usability to our web presence, by all means, drop a message or post a note to let us know.

Confused about this icon ? It's our new identifier which indicates a hyperlink to an external web source, i.e. a domain that is not under our control yet we feel is a useful link to data or information that you might find helpful. We'll link between HistoSoft's main pages and HistoSoft's member services pages quite liberally, obviously; but we'd also prefer to give you a heads-up when you leave our content to browse elsewhere.

We try our best to follow the guides provided by the W3C Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) to assist usability of our site for people with disabilities. To report an accessibiltiy problem that you have encountered, please review our main help page for the most current reporting tools.

We've added a brief summary table on colorimetric protein assays that you might find useful. Attribution to the pioneers in methodology discovery is included.

HistoSoft has submitted a request to the fine folks at DMOZ to, hopefully, get our site listed among an ever-growing, "human-edited directory of the Web" otherwise known as the Open Directory Project. We recommend checking out the progress of these volunteers, their project, and their attempt to categorize and organize the web.

We've updated our privacy policy (HistoSoft Corporation Privacy Policy) so please review it again if you've not perused it recently. We think you'll agree that we are as sensitive to your privacy concerns as you are.

We've been tweaking the Bradford Assay eForm a bit to add some new features. Further, we're in the process of adding scalable vector graphic (SVG) capabilities (experimental implementation) to the application to provide another plotting option; so, if there's something that you don't recognize, be sure to check out the Knowledge Base, review other support pages, or send a note to the creator. He enjoys the extra attention.

Our new Knowledge Base has been upgraded to provide better support and customized issue tracking. It is a continuation of our centralized support services transition so that you may better follow any support issues that may arise or questions that you may have. Both of these links will forward you to the secure server of our member services domain.

A quick glance at the Tool Bar on the right and you may notice the "Translate" tool. It's a new feature we've added to provide a quick, basic translation of this page for non-English speaking visitors. It is a tool provided by Google but it uses the same translation service as AltaVista and others. Once this page reloads with a translated version, you may browse the site using a different language. We hope it helps our worldly guests. We implemented this tool previously and decided to expand its usage.

The eForum was updated and reformatted. We hope you'll like the changes.

HistoSoft's Orientation Guide added - A new help tool has been added to our HistoSoft site... a navigation and orientation layout guide. This will describe the general features of our web pages so that you can get a quick overview of links, tips, and tools.

HistoSoft/myHistoSoft search engines now online - A new feature has been added to the HistoSoft sites... localized search engines. This will speed up access to pages that you may seek and have had trouble finding through normal links. We always try to make the site as accessible as possible, and this is another tool to facilitate your browsing. Both the main site (www.histosoft.com) and our sister site (www.myhistosoft.com) have their own search engines. Each one is specific to its own web pages so make sure you're searching the right one.

HistoSoft's Site Map now online - We've implemented a site map page that is created dynamically. What does that mean? Anytime you need an index of what browseable pages exist at our site, this site map page will find and list all of the current pages. No dead links here and certainly helpful when you're trying to get a quick, yet complete, overview of HistoSoft. Try out the sitemap to get your bearings of the HistoSoft Corporation main site. We welcome your response to this tool and hope it helps your experience at our site.

HistoSoft's eServices now online - We've converted our protein assay application to an online version and it's ready to go. The Bradford Assay eForm is a first step in a series of protein analysis applications we'll be producing as a membership service to help research laboratories function more efficiently. Please visit the eServices page for more detailed information.

The eForum was implemented to help you and your peers (and other curious onlookers) discuss the site, the services, and other histology related topics. If there is a category that you would like for us to include, just send in your request. We'll try to set up another place for your pleasure.

Our Online Presence Begins

Pretty much everything. Both HistoSoft as a company and the online presence are still in an early operational phase; but we feel the sooner we can show our wares, the sooner you'll discover that lab data processes need not be tedious or require programming experience.

We feel that one of the more appealing attributes of this approach is that you will not need any special hardware or software to become more productive. We provide guided methods to step you through each data processing template for any given particular laboratory application and you need not maintain the software or hardware to do it. All you'll need is a browser and, since you're reading this, you already have that covered.

So what's in store for this site? It is here that we plan to design and distribute our online forms that are created to handle routine laboratory processes. It is also here that we will create some not so routine, but highly desirable, server-side applications to process laboratory data and produce results via digital formats. The data can then be viewed online as it is processed or saved to the user's disk for future use. Or, the processed results can simply be printed. Further, your data can be presented in a spreadsheet or database friendly format ready for download and incorporation into your own data archives. We'll let you decide how you want the information disseminated.

The rapid pace of the lab seldom allows for the development of tools to facilitate your work. Well, we plan to change that. While we cannot change your working environment, we can provide for you software applications that you can use to make your work in the lab faster, easier, and more efficient.

We are glad to have you browsing our pages and researching our products. Should you have any questions about the site, our services, or the products, please review the support pages and the FAQs. Or, contact us. We're glad to help.

About the design of this page

If you are using a "dated", non-text browser, this page may not render properly. You should be able to read all the content; however, since the styling is achieved with cascading style sheets (CSS) and old browsers do not support CSS, you must upgrade your browser. We apologize for any inconvenience.
