HistoSoft has created this privacy statement covering its web sites in order to demonstrate our commitment to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains the information gathering and dissemination practices for our web presence in the histosoft.com and myhistosoft.com domains. If you have any queries or requests concerning your personal information, please contact HistoSoft support. We have an alternate version of this privacy policy in accordance with the DMA.

Information Collected

It is possible that, by using this web site, you may provide personal or identifying information including any or all of the following:

• Information that you provide on the site's forms.
• Information that is gathered by the web server such as your IP address, time of access, the operating system and web browser that you are using.
• CGI scripts may acquire and store additonal identifying data (such as your IP address) to "stamp" your processed forms or to enhance the site's security.
• "Cookies" may be used (though sparingly) to make the site more "user friendly", but it is not necessary for your browser to accept these in order to access most parts of this site. Currently, they are used only for the eForum Bulletin Board and for the helpDesk.

The HistoSoft Corporation does not knowingly collect any other information.

Use of Information

The information described will be used for the following purposes ONLY:

• Information that you explicitly provide on forms will only be used for the purpose that is described on that form.
• Personal information (names, email addresses, etc.) will not be acquired, sold, distributed, published, or used for any purpose other than those that are described in this agreement or on the corresponding forms, or membership/subscription agreements.
• Information that you provide will not be shared with any third-party entity but will remain restricted to the HistoSoft Corporation for its own internal use to provide better customer service or to improve processing of your submitted laboratory data.
• Names and email addresses may be used for correspondence if the HistoSoft Corporation needs to reply to an inquiry made by you or for other contact.
• Information collected may be provided to relevant authorities for the purposes of law enforcement.
• Data gathered by the web server may be used for statistical purposes to optimise the site. This information will be analyzed in aggregate and not as a tool to uniquely identify you or your computer.

Agreement

By continuing to use this site, you demonstrate your acceptance of this privacy policy. Furthermore, the privacy policy may be modified in the future, and this published version supercedes any that have been published previously. Please review this page periodically to keep abreast of any modifications.

HistoSoft will, to the best of its ability, notify its subscribing members of any changes to this policy by sending an email to the account holder of record. This published web version, however, remains the most current policy that we follow and the date of its implementation follows.
