Welcome to the site!We are glad to have you browsing our pages and researching our products. Should you have any questions about the site, our services, or the products, please review the support pages and the FAQs. Or, contact us. We're glad to help. The rapid pace of the lab seldom allows for the development of tools to facilitate your work. Well, we plan to change that. While we cannot change your working environment, we can provide for you software applications that you can use to make your work in the lab faster, easier, and more efficient. So what's the purpose of this site? It is here that we design and distribute our online forms that are created to handle routine laboratory processes. It is also here that we create some not so routine, but highly desirable, server-side applications to process laboratory data and produce results via digital formats. The data can then be viewed online as it is processed or saved to the user's disk for future use. Or, the processed results can simply be printed. Further, your data can be presented in a spreadsheet or database friendly format ready for download and incorporation into your own data archives. We'll let you decide how you want the information disseminated. We feel that one of the more appealing attributes of this approach is that you will not need any special hardware or software to become more productive. We provide guided methods to step you through each data processing template for any given particular laboratory application and you need not maintain the software or hardware to do it. All you'll need is a browser and, since you're reading this, you already have that covered. What's new?In furtherance of the W3C Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) to assist usability of our site for people with disabilities, we have added a font size adjustment script to our site tools. Select the font on the font size adjuster button at the right margin and the page font will automatically resize. Our eServices server was upgraded on Thursday morning, July 6th, 2006. All subscription services have resumed to normal, so data processing will proceed as before. We apologize for any brief inconvenience though we did not observe any issues. No other interruptions are expected. Please contact us if you experienced any processing delays. A slight diversion if you don't mind. We've initiated a new section for webmasters and domain administrators (and curious onlookers) for the presentation of Utilities & Guides, a collection of tools and tips that we ocassionally use to facilitate our eServices. Some of what we will present is directly applied to our ongoing operations while some is rather peripheral. Nevertheless, we think the applications and guides will be useful to many web content providers. Furthermore, we enjoy contributing to the very technology pool that perpetuates our existence. HistoSoft's eServices is beta testing its Lowry protein assay application as an online version. The Lowry Assay eForm is another in a series of protein analysis applications we'll be producing as a membership service to help research laboratories function more efficiently. Please visit the eServices page for more detailed information. Yes, we added another site icon. This icon serves as an identifier which indicates a hyperlink to our Knowledge Base and typically adds pertinent, supplemental information that will explain a topic with a bit more depth. What else is new?Our site has been upgraded from XHTML 1.0 to XHTML 1.1 compliant. You probably won't notice the difference but your browser might. These changes are subtle, but different browsers may handle these modifications differently. Nevertheless, we continue to keep up with the latest web standards to ensure that we provide for you the most compliant and standards-based code that is possible. This will provide for you the most stable web experience that is available for universal use. The W3C provides the guides and we just adhere... it's that simple. If you have a suggestion to improve access or usability to our web presence, by all means, drop a message or post a note to let us know. We've added a brief summary table on colorimetric protein assays that you might find useful. Attribution to the pioneers in methodology discovery is included. We try our best to follow the guides provided by the W3C Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) to assist usability of our site for people with disabilities. To report an accessibility problem that you have encountered, please review our main help page for the most current reporting tools. We've submitted a request to the fine folks at DMOZ to, hopefully, get our site listed among an ever-growing, "human-edited directory of the Web" otherwise known as the Open Directory Project. We recommend checking out the progress of these volunteers, their project, and their attempt to categorize and organize the web. Confused about this icon ? It's our new identifier which indicates a hyperlink to an external web source, i.e. a domain that is not under our control yet we feel is a useful link to data or information that you might find helpful. We'll link between HistoSoft's main pages and HistoSoft's member services pages quite liberally, obviously; but we'd also prefer to give you a heads-up when you leave our content to browse elsewhere. We've updated our privacy policy (HistoSoft Corporation Privacy Policy) so please review it again if you've not perused it recently. We think you'll agree that we are as sensitive to your privacy concerns as you are. Need more? Check out our News Archive. What's tried and true? We've been tweaking the Bradford Assay eForm a bit to add some new features. Further, we've added scalable vector graphics (SVG) capabilities to the application to provide another plotting option; so, if there's something that you don't recognize, be sure to check out the Knowledge Base, review other support pages, or send a note to the creator. He enjoys the extra attention. To discover more about this imaging format, review the W3C's About SVG and SVG-capable browsers. |
