Bradford Assay - Sample Summary

The preliminary portion of the report formats and tabulates your data in a concise table. It provides consistency for your your lab reports for easy cross reference to previous experiments. You select which fields to complete… all, none or any combination. You will note the current list of input parameters, all of which accurately and concisely define the required parameters of a typical assay:

  •  Experiment Label
  •  Name of Researcher
  •  Name of Primary Investigator
  •  Experiment Date
  •  Experiment Time
  •  Project ID
  •  NIH Grant
  •  Experiment Series
  •  Experiment Number
  •  Project Notes with user (optionally formatted) input
  •  Protein Standard Details (Protein and Diluent)
  •  Spectrophotometer Specifications

After entering the desired summary data, proceed to Step 2 - entering the concentration and absorbance of the known solutions for the standard curve.

The Bradford Assay eform allows you to select the original concentration of your samples and convert the resultant data into another concentration that is more in-line with any previous experiment that you have performed. Furthermore, you choose the number of significant figures to use in your calculations to produce the most experimentally valid data points.

The standard curve determination allows you to use up to 10 "standard concentration" points to derive the regression curve and you may label them as necessary. You may also select if and how you want that data recorded on the associated plot:

  •  Standard Curve Plot
  •  Data Plot w/wo Options
  •  Image File Format
  •  Include/Exclude Average Curve Data Points
  •  Include/Exclude All Curve Data Points
  •  Include/Exclude Point-to-Point Curve
  •  Include/Exclude Smoothed Curve
  •  Include/Exclude Regression Line
  •  Include/Exclude Inset Zoom
  •  Include/Exclude Experimental Unknowns Plot
  •  Enumerate Experimental Unknowns (up to 96 per plot)
  •  Include/Exclude Experimental Results Barchart

As an added option, you may enable barcoding to help facilitate the cataloging of your data. The graphic produced may be replicated at your convenience and utilized as a quick scan method - it adheres to standard UPC coding (CODE-39) for your extended length identification.

  •  Include/Exclude UPC CODE-39 Barcoding
